Founded in 1996, Soccerex has spent three decades connecting clubs, leagues, federations, brands, investors, media organizations and industry leaders from around the world. The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone for the organization as it enters its 30th year while convening the global football community at a pivotal moment for the sport in North America.

As one of the most recognizable voices in American soccer, Lalas will help guide conversations on the business of soccer and the continued growth of the game throughout North America as industry leaders gather to capitalize on the momentum and opportunities created by the FIFA World Cup 2026.

“As Soccerex celebrates its 30th year of connecting and advancing the global football industry, we are delighted to welcome Alexi Lalas to Soccerex Miami 2026,” said Garret Navia, CEO of Soccerex.

“Alexi has been at the forefront of soccer’s growth in the United States for decades, both as a player and broadcaster. His perspective on the industry’s evolution, coupled with his ability to facilitate meaningful discussions, will add tremendous value to the conversations taking place in Miami.”

Lalas, a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame and FOX Sports’ lead soccer analyst since 2015, has become one of the most influential personalities in American soccer through his coverage of FIFA World Cups, Major League Soccer, Concacaf and other premier international competitions. Prior to his broadcasting career, Lalas starred for the U.S. Men’s National Team in the FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games and became the first American to compete in Italy's Serie A, playing for Padova. Lalas then joined the New England Revolution of the MLS in 1996, the league’s inaugural season. The former Rutgers standout and three-time All-American went on to play for the MetroStars, Kansas City Wizards, and Los Angeles Galaxy before transitioning into Front Office leadership roles for multiple MLS teams following his retirement from playing in 2002.

“Alexi Lalas has played a unique role in the growth and evolution of soccer in the United States, both on the field and behind the microphone. As the industry looks ahead to the next chapter of the sport's development following FIFA World Cup 2026, there are few individuals better positioned to lead meaningful conversations about where the game is headed. His experience, perspective, and influence across the soccer ecosystem will make him a tremendous addition to Soccerex Miami and a valuable voice for the global football community.”
